Dharma Yoga

Dharma Yoga is a traditional yet contemporary style of yoga taking its name from New York-based yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra (photo). The style is graceful yet challenging and suitable for practitioners of all levels, as it meets every student according to their condition. Dharma yoga aims to achieve great physical and mental health by weaving together a number of yogic methods and a typical class will include a dynamic flowing sequence of backbends, forward folds, twists and inversions.

All levels welcome, however, not recommended for complete beginners.

Rocket Yoga

Rocket Yoga was developed to tailor ashtanga yoga to the band The Grateful Dead in San Francisco in the late 80s. Creator Larry Schultz (photo) learned the ashtanga method in India, and at one point realised that the strict ways of Ashtanga yoga may not be as well suited the western mind. With that Rocket evolved as a strong, fluid and playful practice allowing practitioners to be explorative and creative. You will have an opportunity to try some more advanced postures such as arm balances and inversions but modifications will be given if that isn’t your thing. Linking breath and movement, this dynamic class will leave you with a sense of achievement. Come with an open and playful mind; leave your ego at the door and don't be afraid to fly or fall!

In loving memory of Larry, the Rocket Man.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the combination of energizing and dynamic yoga postures (represented by the sun) with relaxing and meditative yoga postures (represented by the moon) which results in body balance. The body derives maximum benefit from this combination and calms down the body, mind and spirit preparing it for meditation.
